Refund Policy

This Refund Policy is written for a digital SaaS subscription. It is provided for clarity and is not formal legal advice. Where local law grants you stronger refund or cancellation rights, those rights apply.

Digital subscription service

Kinetiq is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription. Paid plans unlock higher usage limits and additional features. Because access to digital features is granted immediately, this policy explains when fees are and are not refundable.

Immediate access

When you subscribe, access to your paid plan is provided immediately. By starting a subscription you acknowledge that the service begins right away and that, except as described below or required by law, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once access has been granted.

No refunds in these cases

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Unused time remaining in a billing period
  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal
  • Dissatisfaction after you have used the service
  • Reaching or exceeding plan usage limits
  • Not reviewing plan details, features, or limits before purchasing
  • Temporary or partial service interruptions or maintenance
  • User error, change of mind, or no longer needing the service
  • AI outputs not meeting your expectations (outputs are not guaranteed — see the Terms)

Refunds we may consider

We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis, and may issue a refund for:

  • A duplicate charge for the same subscription
  • A clear, verifiable billing error
  • A payment proven to be unauthorized
  • An accidental renewal reported promptly — ideally within 48 hours of the charge and before meaningful use of the renewed period
  • Any case where a refund is required by applicable law

Approval is at our reasonable discretion except where the law requires otherwise. We may ask for information to verify the charge and the account.

Canceling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from the Plan & Billing page (or the billing portal). Canceling stops future renewals and your paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period. Canceling does not automatically refund the current period.

Effect of a refund

If we issue a refund, we may immediately downgrade your account to the free plan or suspend paid access for the refunded period. Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.

Chargebacks

If you believe there is a problem with a charge, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account while the dispute is reviewed.

Payments and Paddle

Payments for Kinetiq subscriptions are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record / payment processor. Paddle may handle certain payment, tax, receipt, and refund-related requests on our behalf. Refunds you request directly through Paddle, or that Paddle is required to process, are also governed by Paddle's applicable terms.

How to request a refund

Email support@kinetiq.chat with your account email and the approximate date and amount of the charge. Do not include full card numbers or other sensitive payment details in your message.
