Privacy Policy

Introduction

Kinetiq (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by Valery Igel, operates the Kinetiq platform at kinetiq.chat. This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and retain information when you use the Service.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email and name/profile from our authentication provider (Clerk). Passwords are handled by Clerk; we do not store them.
• Product content — prompts you submit, uploaded files, generated artifacts and versions, projects, and related metadata.
• Usage & billing metadata — plan, subscription status, usage counts against plan limits, and billing identifiers needed to operate your subscription.
• Connector metadata — for connectors you authorize (e.g. Google Drive, Slack), only the metadata and the specific files/messages you select, as needed to fulfill your request.
• Logs & diagnostics — operational logs, error/diagnostic data, and where applicable device, browser, and IP information used for security and reliability.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record / payment processor. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, taxes, receipts, and the billing portal where applicable, under its own privacy policy. Kinetiq does not store full payment card numbers.

AI providers

To generate the outputs you request, your prompts, selected files, and related context may be sent to configured AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) only as needed to provide the requested feature. These providers process data under their own terms and policies.

Connectors

Connector access (e.g. Google Drive, Slack) is user-authorized and scoped. Kinetiq only accesses the content you explicitly select or authorize through the connector — it does not browse or ingest your entire account.

How and why we use information

We process information to:

• Provide and operate the Service and store your projects, runs, and artifacts
• Secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse
• Manage billing, subscriptions, and accounts
• Provide support and respond to your requests
• Analyze usage to maintain and improve the product
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data or use it for cross-site advertising.

How we share information

We share data only with parties needed to run the Service, including:

• Authentication provider (Clerk)
• Hosting, database, and storage providers (e.g. Vercel, Neon)
• AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic)
• Payment processor (Paddle)
• Connector providers you authorize (e.g. Google, Slack)
• Legal, regulatory, or security authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety

Data retention

We retain account and product data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, security, and billing obligations. When you request deletion, we make reasonable efforts to remove your data, subject to retention required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or billing purposes.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To make a request, contact privacy@kinetiq.chat. We respond within a reasonable timeframe; some data may be retained where the law allows or requires.

Security

We use HTTPS for data in transit and apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on the Service.

Children

Kinetiq is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. The Service is intended for adults — see the eligibility (18+) requirement in our Terms of Service. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
